So after learning about the previous 5 habits: 1. be proactive, 2. start with the end in mind, 3. Put First things First, 4. Think win-win, 5. Seek first to understand; the only logical thing left to do is SYNERGIZE!!!
Synergize is defined as the ability to cooperate with others, especially to remedy something. After embracing these habits and implementing them daily I would assume that synergizing comes naturally, however I believe this is much easier said than done. Even when putting these habits first, I believe it is extremely important to be surrounded by like minded individuals in order to move in a more symbiotic manner. For this reason I feel that it is important to be transparent in a leaders or enterprises vision, and defining characteristics. This will allow for all individuals to align their strategies and habits more directly with an enterprises mission, and team. As much as I want to be able to think “win-win”, if I am unable to convey the value in a “win-win” outcome, and both parties are not committed, the odds of synergizing become a bit more difficult or potentially limited.
While these habits can lead to synergistic relationships, I believe the first step towards a synergistic relationship, or culture is establishing a community where everyone is valued, and all individuals are willing to see the value in one another. By adopting these habits as a whole community, or culture a leader can ensure that all stakeholders maintain and increase their value amongst each other. While I continue to work on implementing these habits, I will continue to synergize because of the culture and climate around me. I know I am valued, and even more I value the knowledge and personalities I am surrounded by daily.
